Shipping Policy
Order Processing
Orders are usually processed within one business day.
Calculated Shipping Rates and Estimates
Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout. Note that these shipping times are estimates, and can be longer for delivery to remote areas or during high-volume shipping times, such as the Christmas season.
Free Shipping
We offer free shipping to Canada and the contiguous USA for most orders over $200. We reserve the right to limit this offer to $40 worth of shipping charges.
Addresses Ineligible for Delivery
Some orders can not be delivered to PO Boxes or to very remote locations. We'll reach out before shipping if we anticipate a problem.
Product Ineligible for Shipping
There are a handful of products we won't ship, except via local delivery (see below). Generally speaking, these are fragile, bulky products, such as wine bottles and glass carboys. We recommend finding a local dealer for those products.
Irregularly Shaped Products
Some products that don't fit nicely in a shipping box, such as very long products (e.g. siphons) may be subject to a $5.00 shipping surcharge for specialized packaging.
International Shipping
We offer shipping domestically here in Canada, and to the United States. Shipping charges for your order will be calculated and displayed at checkout.
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes, which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. We are not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the purchaser.
Local Delivery
We offer local delivery to B2N and B6L postal codes. Local delivery is free for orders over $150. For orders under $150, we charge $5 for local delivery.
In-store Pickup
You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at our Robie Street location. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up after 1 business day. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.
We are located inside the Fundy Trail Center at 68 Robie Street in Truro. Our in-store pickup hours are the same as as our advertised store hours.
How do I check the status of my order?
When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
Shipping to Dry Communities
Certain communities have restrictions on the importing of alcohol and alcohol-related products, including brewer's yeast. It is your responsibility to understand and comply with these regulations when ordering from our store. We cannot, for any reason, refund orders that are shipped to dry communities of any kind.
Goods Damaged in Shipping
In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at info@truro.wine with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
