Ripe cherry, plum and red berry flavours with subtle notes of toasty oak, vanilla and spice.  Soft tannins and good acidity with a smooth mouthfeel.

Solano County is part of the world-renowned North Coast AVA which includes Napa, Sonoma, and Mendocino Counties.  Though not as well known as some its more famous neighbours, Solano has a rich viticultural history dating back to the mid-1800s.  It is one of the oldest AVAs in California but has only recently started to gain notoriety.  Expect to see a lot more from this up-and-coming region.

The climate in Solano County is on the cooler side which is ideal for Pinot Noir, one of the signature grape varieties in the region.  Cooling breezes from both the Suisun and San Pablo Bay moderate temperatures which lengthens the growing season, creating grapes that produce balanced wines with good acidity and ripe flavours.
