Willamette Valley is Oregon's oldest and largest wine region and is recognized as one of the world's foremost producers of Pinot Noir, the region's signature grape. The region's unique geography and climate provide the perfect environment for the notoriously finicky grape to reach its full potential, resulting in work-class wines.

Framed by the Coast Mountain Range to the west and the Cascades to the east, the region follows the Willamette River for over 150 km. The valley sits at the same latitude as Burgundy - France's Pinot Noir region - and its northern position allow for extended sunshine during the growing season, ensuring full phenolic ripening of grapes. The cool maritime climate promotes fully developed fruit flavours, bright acidity and freshness, and the complex soils add to the region's unique terroir.

This Pinot Noir has fresh red fruit flavours of strawberry, raspberry, cherry, and notes of baking spice, earth and smoke. A supple and smooth wine with bright acidity.

Pinot Noir is a little more delicate than other reds, so it pairs well with more delicate foods. Mushroom-based dishes work great, especially risotto. Goose, duck, venison, and lamb are also excellent choices. Sweet desserts, particularly with milk or dark chocolate, bring out the best in Pinot Noir.
